HelloBC® Listings Program
The HelloBC® Listings Program connects consumers to tourism products they may want to experience while visiting BC.
Tourism businesses, including Activities, Attractions, Events, Transportation and Accommodations can purchase a listing on HelloBC.com which includes its network of international websites including the UK, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and Germany. Accommodation properties that are inspected and approved can also purchase a listing in the Approved Accommodations Guide.

Tourism BC’s HelloBC® Listings Program provides tourism businesses with exposure to millions of consumers whom they might not otherwise reach. This includes exposure to over 5.5 million visitors to the HelloBC.com network.

What does my listing include?
Approved Accommodations
Base listings include:
- Business name
- Contact information
- A 100-word online description and a 40-word print description
- One ‘accommodation’ type choice
- One video
- Charges and fees
- A map pinpointing your location
- Information regarding your services, amenities, facilities, policies and restrictions
- Print and online enhancements can be purchased at an additional cost.
Activities, Attractions, Golf, Ski and Transportation
Base listings include:
- Business name
- Contact information
- A weblink to your website
- A 100-word description
- One category choice (winery, horseback riding, etc.)
- Two photographs
- One video
- Hours of operation
- Admission pricing
- A map pinpointing your location
- Information regarding your services, amenities, facilities, policies and restrictions.
- Enhancements, such as more photographs, email and services descriptions can be purchased at an additional cost.
Festivals and Events
Base listings include:
- Business name
- Contact information
- A weblink to your website
- A 100-word description
- One ‘event theme’ choice
- Two photographs
- One video
- Hours of operation
- Admission pricing
- A map pinpointing your location
- Information regarding your services, amenities, facilities, policies and restrictions.
- Enhancements, such as more photographs, email and services descriptions can be purchased at an additional cost.

What are the enrolment deadlines?
Enrolment in the online portion of the program is ongoing throughout the year, with program pricing charged on a January through December basis (so the earlier you enrol, the more value you receive).
Activities, Attractions, Golf, Ski and Transportation businesses and Festivals and Events are encouraged to enrol in the Fall of each year, for the following year.
Approved Accommodation enrolment typically runs June through August of each year in order to ensure placement in the printed Approved Accommodation Guide. Enrolment in the 2010 program begins in June 2009. Printed guide enrolment closes firmly on August 31, 2009.

Activities, Attractions, Golf, Ski and Transportation
Included as part of the your base listing is a 100-word description of your business (this was previously 40 words) giving you more space to describe your tourism experience in detail and use key words for which consumers are likely to be searching.
Also included in your base listing is the ability to embed one video into your online listing. This is an exciting addition that allows you to really showcase the experience you offer! Read how to embed a video into your listing. See a sample of a listing with a video.
Finally, don't forget that your base listing includes one weblink to drive consumers directly to your business website and two photographs.
